DOAP currently generates some great data for the Middle East standalone restaurant industry. In 2016, the DOAP team launched the 1st edition of MEFF in Dubai and held the 2nd edition in December 2017 in Abu Dhabi. The Middle East Food Forum (MEFF), is a unique platform that attracts the most progressive and influential restaurateurs, restaurant brands, developers, investors and consultants. The team is currently working on the first of its kind Arabian Hotel Revenue Summit (AHRS) which will be held on the 8th – 9th April 2018 at Roda Al Bustan, Dubai.
DOAP aims to be a regional industry platform for market intelligence and a global platform for events in the Restaurant and Hotel space in the emerging markets.

Vishal Pandey, Director of Data On-A-Plate, is the founder and organisers of multiple leading international conferences for the restaurant and hotel industry, including the Middle East Food Forum and the planned Arabian Hotel Revenue Summit.
Vishal is a Partner with Glasgow Consulting Group (www.glasgowconsultinggroup.com), a leading Market Entry consultancy. He is a recognised Growth + Competitive Strategy expert who has lived and worked in the UK, India and across the Middle East. Previously with Deloitte Consulting’s Dubai offices, he was part of a team responsible for tourism, hospitality and real estate assignments across the Middle East and North Africa region.
He contributes frequently to several regional and global publications in the areas of growth and competitive strategy, policy, tourism, sustainability, retail and real estate. Vishal is also a visiting faculty in various business schools in UAE and India. He is also often invited to be a speaker at key Middle East and South Asian foreign investment, innovation, growth strategy and retail industry conferences.
Vishal holds a MSc in Real Estate and Regeneration from the University of Glasgow, a UNWTO Themis degree in Tourism and International Cooperation for Development from The George Washington University and a Degree in Hotel Management.
